Columbus Georgia Convention & Trade Center

For more than a century, Columbus Iron Works produced equipment for homes, farms, steamboats, and mills, helping shape the industrial history of Columbus, Georgia. The historic complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969, and in 1975 the southern portion was adapted into the Columbus Georgia Convention & Trade Center, transforming the former industrial site into a civic destination for events and gatherings.

A 108,000 SF addition was designed to include generous pre-function spaces, a continuous balcony overlooking the Chattahoochee River, 50,000 SF of meeting rooms, 11,000 SF of new exhibition space, and a 22,000 SF ballroom. The expanded center now offers a flexible mix of meeting, exhibition, and event spaces that position Columbus, Georgia to compete with other second-tier convention markets across the state.
