Muscogee School District, Public Education Center
The Muscogee School District Public Education Center is a 96,000 SF, three-story administrative building in Midtown Columbus, Georgia. The building was designed to consolidate multiple district departments in one centralized location to improve collaboration, operational efficiency, and public access to district services.
Designed to complement the surrounding civic environment, the education center features a neoclassical architectural style with cast stone masonry as the primary exterior material. Its scale and detailing reinforce the character of Midtown Columbus while visually aligning with the nearby Columbus Public Library, helping strengthen the area’s civic identity.
Interior design services supported the district’s transition into the new facility. The process began with a comprehensive survey and documentation of existing furniture, accessories, and artwork across multiple district offices. Department leaders were interviewed to identify functional needs and workplace preferences, helping shape the selection of furnishings and interior elements for the new building.
