As part of our commitment to Design Excellence, our stewardship initiative was developed to provide resources and tools toward an integrated approach for sustainability, resiliency, and wellness. We work to align best practices in stewardship with client priorities and goals as a natural part of the design process on every project.

Climate Commitment
Our firm is a proud signatory of the AIA 2030 Commitment, an actionable climate strategy that outlines standards and goals for reaching net zero emissions in the built environment by 2030. We are dedicated to supporting the need for more consistent and rigorous building performance metrics and tracking, and to actively pursuing solutions that reduce the negative impact that buildings can have on the environment. As part of this commitment, McMillan Pazdan Smith has created a Sustainability Action Plan and is tracking progress for the benefit of our clients and the planet.

How do I decide what designations or certifications are right to pursue?
We partner with clients to establish priorities and evaluate if certification pursuit adds value and aligns with project goals. A feasibility study will quickly determine different certifications that support the project and program, and provide a comparison of available materials, options, and costs.
