Columbus City Services Center
Located in Midtown Columbus, Georgia, the Columbus City Services Center is a 64,000 SF, two-story municipal facility. Positioned adjacent to the Columbus Public Library and the Muscogee County School District Public Education Center, the building anchors a growing civic complex that also includes a natatorium, parking garage, and a shared public plaza.
The facility consolidates several public-facing municipal departments into a single, convenient location, including a new city council chamber and a backup 911 emergency operations center, supporting both daily operations and emergency preparedness.
The design draws inspiration from the historic Columbus courthouse on Broad Street, using red brick and cast stone accents that complement the city’s traditional architectural character. A three-story lobby creates a clear internal connection between departments while bringing daylight deep into the building. Rising to a clerestory feature visible from Interstate-185, the lobby also provides a recognizable civic presence for Midtown Columbus.
