Spartanburg Regional Healthcare, Gibbs Cancer Center at Pelham

McMillan Pazdan Smith created a holistic healing environment for a 100,000 SF freestanding ambulatory cancer center at the Pelham Medical Center campus. The new cancer center offers radiation treatment and full oncology services to Greer and the surrounding communities.

The interior lobby features a central atrium with access to a healing garden enhanced by plant materials, water and music. Programming includes a Linear Accelerator Vault, CT Simulator and Control Rooms with the ability for future expansion planned into the design. A central, circular reception and billing area serves core administrative functions. A lab, med room with freezer and long-stay infusion treatment area are located in close proximity for maximum efficiency.
