Raumedic AG, Clean Room
To expand U.S. operations, Raumedic AG selected a site in Western North Carolina for a new manufacturing and distribution facility supporting medical-grade tubing and catheter assemblies. The 63,000 SF facility has the ability to expand to 130,000 SF as production needs increase.
Clean Room Designed for Performance and Visibility
Phase one centers on a 10,100 SF ISO 7 clean room designed for precision injection molding. The space houses 16 molding machines ranging from 45 to 300 tons, supporting a range of medical-grade products. A five-ton bridge crane spans the clean room, allowing for efficient mold changes while minimizing disruption to production.
The clean room layout supports controlled manufacturing processes while maintaining operational efficiency. An elevated viewing area, accessed from the main lobby, allows visitors to observe the molding process without entering the controlled environment, reducing contamination risk and simplifying tours.
Planned for Growth and Operational Flexibility
A 9,000 SF office area lines the front of the building, with capacity for a future second-floor expansion to 18,000 SF. The overall facility layout and structure support phased growth, allowing Raumedic to scale operations with minimal disrupting ongoing production.
