SCANA Corporate Headquarters
SCANA envisioned a new corporate headquarters campus that would consolidate operations, strengthen company culture, and support long-term growth. Located on a 90-acre site in Cayce, South Carolina, the campus brought together 1,300 employees in a cohesive environment designed to improve collaboration, operational efficiency, and employee experience.
Designing Workplace Amenities That Support Collaboration + Employee Well-Being
The 540,000 SF campus includes five interconnected buildings organized to encourage communication between departments and maintain flexibility for future expansion. A 400-seat auditorium supports large corporate meetings, presentations, and company-wide events, reinforcing the campus as a central hub for company operations and engagement.
Employee wellness and workplace experience played a major role in shaping the campus design. The headquarters include a full-service cafeteria, wellness center, and on-site pharmacy to support employee health, convenience, and productivity throughout the workday.
The corporate campus layout carefully balances public, shared, and secure workspaces while encouraging interaction and connectivity between SCANA employees. Interconnected buildings and shared amenities create opportunities for collaboration while supporting the operational needs of a large corporate workforce.
Integrating Sustainable Site Design + Stormwater Management
Site planning and environmental stewardship were central to the development of the campus. More than 100,000 cubic yards of earth was used to regrade the site. Building pads, security berms, and more than five acres of ponds were integrated into the overall site strategy.
The stormwater management system incorporates aquatic plantings specifically selected for bio-remediation, helping improve water quality before runoff leaves the site. These sustainable design strategies supported both the long-term environmental performance of the campus and the creation of an attractive corporate setting.
