Roy Metal Finishing, Plant Expansion

To support a growing client base and expanded service offerings, Roy Metal Finishing developed a new operations center in The Matrix industrial park in Greenville County, South Carolina. Working to align Roy Metal Finishing’s current and future needs with the existing 83,200 SF shell building and 21-acre site, the phased master plan resulted in a total of 166,400 SF.

Phased expansion and master planning designed to support advanced manufacturing growth and long-term operations

The site is organized to separate public-facing areas from heavy industrial operations, improving both safety and efficiency. A commemorative plaza highlighting the company’s history creates a clear and welcoming entry. Loading docks, chemical storage, and recycling areas are positioned away from pedestrian zones to streamline operations and reduce conflicts.

The master plan aligns building expansion with operational workflows so each phase supports current production while preparing for future growth. Clear separation of circulation paths for vehicles, materials, and people helps maintain efficiency across the site.

Interior upgrades introduce automated plating equipment to support a range of industries, including automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications. Production, business offices, and flexible amenity spaces are organized to support daily operations and workforce needs.
