Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority, Men’s Support Home
The Men’s’s Recovery Support Home is part of the new Cherokee Residential Support Program for Women (CRSW), and is a collaboration and partnership between the Cherokee Boys Club (CBC) and the Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority (CIHA). The CRSW is designed to help men achieve and maintain recovery from addiction, address psychosocial and mental health issues where necessary, and develop skills needed for a productive life within their Cherokee community.
The Men’s Home was developed in conjunction with the Women’s Support Home, both outpatient centers associated with the Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority, Hospital Exapnsion and Behavioral Health project, also completed by our team.
This 4,000-square-foot facility accommodates up to eight men, with two family spaces available for fathers with children up to 8 years old. The program is designed for residents to stay for 6 to 12 months, providing the time and support needed to transition successfully back into their communities. A testament to the belief that there is “Hope in Recovery,” the program offers men a structured path toward independence and healing.
