The Tsali Care Center, designed for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, received second place in the 2025 Senior Housing News Architecture & Design Awards in the Skilled Nursing / Post-Acute category.
This one-of-a-kind community in North Carolina blends Cherokee traditions, nature, and modern care to create a home that honors elders and strengthens cultural connection. The 140,000-square-foot facility reached full occupancy on opening day, underscoring its vital role in meeting community needs.
