University of Alabama in Huntsville, Invention to Innovation Center (I²C)
Located on the University of Alabama in Huntsville campus, the 46,650 SF Invention to Innovation Center (I²C) connects university research, entrepreneurs and Huntsville’s technology economy. The business incubator supports high-tech startups and economic development across a 15-county region in north Alabama and southeast Tennessee.
Flexible Space for Innovation, Research and Business
The three-story facility combines coworking and event areas with adaptable, plug-and-play offices for startups and corporate partners. Shared meeting rooms, classrooms and gathering spaces encourage mentorship, collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
Elevated walkways link I²C with the College of Business, reinforcing the connection between technical innovation and the expertise required to bring ideas to market. The building’s location also gives entrepreneurs access to UAH faculty, students and research resources.
Glass, metal panels and red brick complement the campus while creating a recognizable presence. At ground level, the building forms an inviting pedestrian passage into the heart of campus.
