New Realm Brewing

New Realm Brewing transformed the historic Old Cigar Warehouse in Greenville, South Carolina, into a vibrant brewery, restaurant, and beer garden. This adaptive reuse project blends the building’s rich history with modern design elements, creating a unique community gathering space.

New Realm Brewing Preserves History While Enhancing Functionality

The renovation preserved the Old Cigar Warehouse’s exposed brick walls and vaulted ceilings, maintaining its historic character while introducing new amenities. A new entrance staircase, porch canopy, and Main Street-facing balconies enhance the exterior.

Inside, the 11,000-square-foot space includes multiple bars, event spaces, and a full-service, 300-seat multi-level restaurant.

Outdoor features include a dining pavilion, entertainment stage, fire pit, fireplace, and repurposed shipping containers for storage. To minimize noise impact, the design incorporates sound buffers such as the dining pavilion and extensive landscaping. The overall aesthetic aligns with the existing architecture of the West End District, using complementary materials and textures.

New Realm Brewing’s Greenville location offers a convenient space for community dining and entertainment, contributing to the city’s ongoing revitalization efforts.
