Midlands Technical College, Welding Technology Center

The Midlands Technical College Welding Technology Center underwent a significant $4.5 million renovation to expand and modernize its facilities. This upgrade was designed to accommodate the growing demand for skilled welders by providing state-of-the-art learning environments.

The expansion included the addition of 19 new welding stations, bringing the total to 64. The center also features a fabrication shop, welding lab, covered exterior grinding area, and dedicated lockers and storage for students. These upgrades provide a comprehensive learning environment that mirrors industry standards.

Strategically located along the campus loop road and visible from a nearby highway, the Midlands Technical College Welding Technology Center’s design improves the campus’s aesthetic appeal and accessibility.
