Linde + Wiemann U.S., Manufacturing Facility Phases I + II

Linde + Wiemann, a German-based automotive supplier, established and expanded its US manufacturing operations through a multi-phase facility designed to support long-term growth.

Working in a design-build partnership, the team collaborated closely with the owner, plant manager, and contractors to align scope, budget, and schedule. This approach allowed the project to move forward quickly while meeting program requirements and accommodating an international client.

Phased Growth Support Operations Without Disruption

Phase 1 delivered 44,300 SF of production, warehouse, and distribution space, along with a 7,000 SF two-story office building. The facility was designed to support a larger multi-phase buildout totaling approximately 290,000 SF, including a future freestanding office building.

Phase 2 expanded and renovated an existing 51,333 SF facility to support Linde + Wiemann’s growing manufacturing operations. The project increased the building to more than 138,000 SF, creating additional space for metal stamping, welding, storage, and distribution. The expansion introduced new manufacturing and warehouse areas while upgrading office and utility spaces to better support daily operations. A mezzanine level added maintenance storage.

With future expansions planned, the team carefully coordinated design and construction to prevent disruptions to Phase 1 operations.

Fast Delivery Through Coordination and Collaboration

The design-build team maintained a highly coordinated process from concept through construction, enabling rapid decision-making and minimizing delays. The initial phase completed within a seven-month construction schedule, demonstrating the team’s ability to deliver complex industrial facilities on time and within budget.
