Camperdown Academy
Camperdown Academy, a private school specializing in instruction for children with dyslexia and reading-related learning disabilities, has served students in the Greenville, SC area since 1991.
To meet increasing demand and support its role as a nationally certified training and teaching institution, the campus expansion focused on the needs of neurodivergent learners.
Supporting Neurodivergent Learners with Purpose-Built Private School Design
The 32,000 SF facility supports individualized instruction and small-group collaboration among students, faculty, tutors, and volunteers.
The design includes early learning areas, math and science zones, and numerous tutor rooms for targeted learning support. A gym with integrated music, art, and drama areas provides space for movement and school-wide gatherings.
Expanding Regional Impact Through Educator Training
On eight-acres within the Verdae Development, a master-planned urban community, Camperdown Academy provides year-round professional development for educators. The facility includes flexible spaces for teacher workshops and continuing education, helping to expand access to specialized instruction across the region.
McMillan Pazdan Smith assisted the school with capital campaign materials to support full project funding. The result is a thoughtfully designed private school campus that reflects the mission of empowering neurodivergent students to thrive in a setting built for their success.
