CAE Aviation Training Center
The CAE Aviation Training Center in Savannah, GA is a state-of-the-art facility designed to address the growing demand for skilled commercial pilots and aviation maintenance technicians in the Southeast. As the airline and aircraft industry booms, this new 46,000 SF, two-level building will serve as a key training hub and equip aspiring aviators and technicians with the skills needed for the local workforce pipeline.
The CAE Savannah training facility was designed by the industrial team at McMillan Pazdan Smith and constructed by Choate Construction. This makes it a vital addition to CAE’s expanding global training network.
Advanced Training Spaces at CAE Aviation Training Center
The training center features Gulfstream family Full-Flight Simulators (FFS), advanced maintenance training devices, and modern briefing rooms and classrooms. These cutting-edge resources will offer comprehensive training for business aviation pilots and maintenance technicians. With global demand for 32,000 more BizAv pilots and 74,000 business aircraft maintenance technicians by 2032, this facility is crucial for the industry. The design ensures that students access the latest simulation technologies and training services. Consequently, it sets a new standard for aviation training on the southern East Coast.
Robust Design for High-Wind Zone Durability
The training center is built with functionality and durability in mind. For example, its exterior is clad in insulated metal panels with colors and textures that align with CAE’s branding and budget. Given its location in a high-wind zone, the structure and exterior envelope were engineered to meet rigorous requirements for large missile impacts and high design pressure. These measures ensure the safety and longevity of the building. Additionally, our team’s local expertise and knowledge of climate conditions contributed to the project’s success.
Comprehensive Amenities for Students and Staff
The CAE Aviation Training Center offers a range of amenities designed to support students and staff. For instance, a Micromart, lounge, client services, showers, and Wi-Fi ensure trainees and instructors have a comfortable and productive experience. This reinforces CAE’s commitment to providing top-tier training environments.
