Burdette Central
Located on the corner of Curtis and Main Street in downtown Simpsonville, SC, Burdette Central is a mixed-use facility featuring 27,000 SF of retail, restaurant, and office space on the second floor. A cornerstone tenant is Brewery 1885 — another MPS project — with space for an additional future tenants.
The site also includes a 160 SF shipping container facing a planned garden and a 1,520 SF storefront facing Main Street. Outdoor seating and landscaping create an inviting gathering space for the community. Listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, the building dates back to 1899 and was a family-owned hardware store for decades, making it a staple in the Simpsonville community. Together with Cladwell Construction, McMillan Pazdan Smith performed an adaptive reuse of this historic building to provide a family fun atmosphere for the next generation.
