Quantix, Transloading Export Facility
Quantix strengthened its east coast operations and export efficiency with a 615,000 SF logistics facility near the Port of Charleston. Located in West Branch Commerce Park along I-26 in Berkeley County, the site provides direct access to CSX rail and port terminals. This strategic location supports a high-volume movement of chemical products to global markets.
Quantix is Designed for Expansion and Long-Term Performance
Designed in coordination with the South Carolina Ports Authority and state partners, the Quantix facility prioritizes seamless transfer between rail and truck. Rail lines run along the south side of the building, where two 68-foot towers support product offloading from railcars. On the north side, 72 dock doors enable efficient loading onto trucks with space for 119 trailers keep operations moving during peak demand.
To support a direct path from inbound rail to outbound truck traffic, a streamlined layout minimizes handling time and reduces operational delays. A 60-foot-deep speed bay along the truck dock wall improves staging and loading efficiency, while drive-through ramp access allows flexible circulation for large vehicles and equipment.
The tilt-wall concrete structure with a steel frame and 36-foot clear height provides durability and flexibility for evolving operations. Column spacing and distributed infrastructure support high-volume storage and handling, while planned expansion to the west will increase the facility to approximately 1,000,000 SF. Interior office areas include 5,500 SF a centrally located control point and administrative space positioned to serve both current needs and future growth.
