Renewable Water Resources

Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) selected McMillan Pazdan Smith to advance their mission of promoting a cleaner environment and protecting the public health and water quality of the Upstate waterways through the design of their new administrative building, located along the banks of the Reedy River.

After demolishing and recycling the existing administration and engineering buildings, McMillan Pazdan Smith designed the new two-story administration building and associated site improvements within the existing building’s footprints, resulting in minimal disturbance across the heavily wooded, seven-acre site.

By reflecting the efficiency of ReWa’s treatment process and creating a showplace for their commitment to the community and sustainable development, the firm created a modern organic aesthetic by utilizing simple, efficient forms, exposed structural steel framing, floor and roof-decking and exposed HVAC and other utilities.
