Gregory Pest Solutions, a family-oriented business with thousands of customers across 11 Southeast states, commissioned McMillan Pazdan Smith to design a new corporate headquarters. As an important focal point for their company’s 220+ team members, leadership placed an emphasis on how the building embodies the brand.
Based on their client mix of 80 percent commercial and 20 percent residential, the owners desired a highly visible location and chose a 4.5 acre site along I-385 in Greenville, SC, where more than 80,000 vehicles pass every day. The 15,000 square foot building, completed in 2017, is quickly identifiable due to the strong visual branding. A specially selected spectrum of green glass in the atrium matches the company’s logo. Within this iconic glass entry tower, a monumental stair with an overlook landing offers views of the surrounding area.
Throughout the project, custom and personal details add character to the facility. Photos of historic buildings from the 20+ metro areas the company services line the halls. Several conference rooms are dedicated to individuals who have helped influence and grow the business. Even the wood treads and flooring were specifically selected to add warmth to the entry, in keeping with the clients’ values and emphasis on creating an inviting environment. The upper level’s spacious, open working environment is surrounded by offices, meeting rooms and an employee lounge. The building also includes a large training room suitable for hosting regional team meetings.
