The goals for a new 10,000 SF office building for Cleva North America included providing a contemporary and distinctive design while tying the building into the traditional fabric of the existing office park. McMillan Pazdan Smith’s design provides Cleva, a cleaning products company, with a modern look, but uses brick detailing such as corbelling and Flemish bond brick coursing for a traditional feel. Large modern glass windows and steel with a rear balcony bring balance and interest to the building. The facades are detailed with smooth over-sized brick to accent the large windows and entry. By combining these ideas, the building carries both a clean, progressive look with a reference to the traditional architecture of buildings surrounding it. The interior layout is an open floor plan with ample daylight from the large windows and balcony. A monumental stair accents the lobby area as well as the second floor showroom.
