The St Francis millennium Cancer Treatment Center is the first freestanding outpatient comprehensive cancer treatment center for Bon Secours St Francis and will be located on the Millennium campus adjunct to the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research.
At 65,000 SF, the two-story building will be designed in the International Style and complementary to the adjacent existing medical office building and will serve as the first phase of a hospital-owned outpatient campus. Services will include 3 primary clinical departments; Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Infusion. Radiation Oncology includes the 1st LINAC to be owned by St Francis and will be operated in partnership with Spartanburg Regional’s Gibbs Cancer Center. The department will be fitted with 1 LINAC, 1 HDR room, a CT Scanner and a Mobile PET.
The Infusion center includes 52 treatment bays arranged in pods from open to semi-private to private; allowing patients choice and flexibility in the environment. Infusion includes a separate BMT / Apheresis Unit for this special patient population. The Medical Oncology department is designed as a multi-disciplinary clinic with 24 exam rooms and 4 team work areas. Additional services provided in the center will include retail boutique, retail pharmacy with drive thru kiosk, a café, education and classroom space, Cancer Registry, Research department and complementary services. As part of the Bon Secours mission, the building will have a chapel space and resource library.
