McMillan Pazdan Smith was selected by Davis Property Group to design a new 54,000 SF mixed-use development project in the heart of downtown Greenville. The $5 million, seven-story building flanks the City’s Spring Street Parking Garage and is the final piece to a ten year vision to extend the Main Street pedestrian development to the East.
McMillan Pazdan Smith’s design locates 6,000 SF of commercial and retail space on the ground level facing the street, with 48 one- and two-bedroom apartments above. The exterior bridges the historic character of downtown with recent contemporary additions along Spring Street through the use of scale, material and color. Large windows give light and air to the apartments and enhance the retail space. The building also features a unique rooftop swimming pool, the first in South Carolina serving an apartment community.
