New Recreation Center Breaks Ground in Asheville

May 9, 2019 | Press, Projects

There are a lot of different ways to encourage healthy and active communities, but this new project that just broke ground might be one of our favorites — the nation’s first indoor bike park and climbing gym combo! Located just around the corner from Sierra Nevada’s brewery outside of Asheville, the Riveter is going to be a recreational attraction unlike anything else available. And, for an outdoor enthusiast community like Western North Carolina, the options here are pretty stellar… Situated on 16 acres, the 40,000 SF facility will offer over 150 rope lines, a speed wall, a kids climbing cove, a large Velosolutions pump park, progressive jump lines, progressive drops, a cross country track, yoga and spin studios, training and meeting spaces, a libation station, and even a 10-acre working farm along the French Broad River. We’re thrilled to be part of this project and can’t wait to spend some time here ourselves!
