McMillan Pazdan Smith is proud to announce that our Founding Principal, Brad Smith, has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 SCBIZ Icon Honors, a distinction recognizing South Carolina business leaders whose careers have left a lasting impact on their professions, organizations, and communities. The program honors leaders across industries for their notable and enduring contributions to the state.
As a founder of McMillan Pazdan Smith, Brad helped drive and grow one of the Southeast’s most successful architecture, advisory, planning, and interior design firms. His vision, leadership, and dedication to serving clients with unparalleled excellence and commitment have resulted in the delivery of projects that have strengthened communities, advanced education, and positioned healthcare to enhance the quality of life across the region.
Brad’s influence extends far beyond buildings and spaces: he is a long-standing volunteer, board member, mentor, and contributor to organizations and initiatives that have had a lasting positive impact across South Carolina and beyond. This latest honor follows Brad’s 2023 Distinguished Service Award, (the highest honor bestowed by the Clemson Alumni Association to a Clemson Alumnus, for service to the university, the community, and the profession of architecture.)
Please join us in congratulating Brad Smith on this outstanding honor. Our firm continues to reap the benefits of his decades of leadership and expertise.
