Greer Indoor Sports and Events Center Supported by Prisma Health Partnership

The City of Greer is developing a major indoor sports and events center through a partnership with Prisma Health. The $70 million Prisma Health Performance Center is the largest project in the city’s history and reflects Greer’s investment in recreation, wellness and sports tourism.

Through a naming rights agreement, Prisma Health will support the facility and provide orthopedic and rehabilitation services on-site.

With sports, recreation, orthopedic care and rehabilitation services all in one location, the center will help support healthier lives while bringing people together.”

– Todd Walker, CFO / Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital

A Flexible Indoor Sports Center for the Community and Region

The 20,000 SF complex includes basketball courts that convert into volleyball courts, an elevated walking track, fitness center, wrestling room and café. It will accommodate tournaments, leagues, camps, senior programs, community events, and recreation for all ages.

The facility has already attracted interest from travel tournament organizers. These events could bring athletes and families from across the Southeast while generating activity for Greer’s hotels, restaurants, and other businesses.

A Partnership Connecting Recreation and Healthcare

The partnership extends beyond naming rights. By locating Prisma Health orthopedic and rehabilitation services within the center, the project will connect sports, specialized care, recovery, and wellness in one destination.

This combination allows the Greer indoor sports and events center to serve residents throughout the year while supporting Greer’s broader economic development goals.

The Prisma Health Performance Center is scheduled to open in early 2027.
