Spartanburg Day School

In Association with David M. Schwartz Architects

The Spartanburg Day School engaged McMillan Pazdan Smith to design a new signature facility for the school that would make a bold architectural statement, boost enrollment and redefine their public image by representing the educational excellence of this private institution.  The new building is framed by plaza space and reconfigured traffic patterns that work in concert to form a new campus green and foreground to the new structure.

The new two-story, 26,000 SF educational facility, houses 9th?12th grade classrooms, science labs, a computer lab, a seminar room, Admissions and the Office of the Headmaster.  Designed to achieve LEED Certification, the building supports new methods of learning through the use of state-of-the-art technologies, enhances teaching and promotes informal study.
