Coastal Carolina University Brooks Football Stadium

Following design of an Athletic Master Plan for Coastal Carolina University, McMillan Pazdan Smith designed a football stadium, creating an aggressive new image for the University’s inaugural football season. Site challenges included a typical coastal water table, preventing site excavation and below grade stadium seating. The solution incorporated a 6,500 seat stadium that can be expanded to 20,000 seats. The new stadium, defined by classical detailing and materials, reinforces the traditional architecture of the Lowcountry campus.
