The Spartanburg District Five School District turned to McMillan Pazdan Smith for a solution to address the needs of two growing communities given limited resources in a challenged economy.
Drawing upon the firm’s extensive educational design expertise, McMillan Pazdan Smith’s team developed a prototypical floor plan that dedicated separate wings for each grade and organized them around centrally located community spaces. The plan is efficiently organized, compact and cost efficient. Additionally, the design anticipates future growth and allows for cost effective expansion of every component of the school.
While saving the district significant money through an efficient design, the design team was still able to create a unique character and interior architecture that gives each facility its own identity.
