Spartanburg High Begins Gymnasium Renovations

It’s a new era for athletics at Spartanburg High School.

After recent upgrades to outdoor facilities, the high school’s original 1959 gymnasium is next on the list.

Last week, construction crews began tearing out the gym’s wood floor (except the few pieces saved as keepsakes) and ceiling in preparation for a complete interior overhaul. The gymnasium and adjacent lobby will get a fresh design and new technology.
